Friends of the Selinsgrove Library
March 14, 2007


Present: Joyce Hendricks, Liz Heim, Janis Gemberling, Pat Hess, Lynn Askew,
Emily Johnson, Patty Gauya, Linda Wieder, Joyce Bilger, Deborah Bernhisel

Joyce Hendricks called the meeting to order.

President's Report. The group also discussed Lynn Askew's suggestion to have Beverly Curry tie into the Rolling Green crock (2007) in mid-July.

Secretary's Report. In Deb's absence Joyce Hendricks read the minutes from the February 14 meeting. Liz Heim moved and Linda Wieder seconded a motion to accept the February meetings as read. Emily Johnson volunteered to take the meeting minutes.

Treasurer's Report. Janis Gemberling read the treasurer's report. Joyce Bilger moved and Lynn Askew seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report following a discussion of the crock ordering process.

Library Board Liaison Report. Lynn Askew provided a report from the Snyder County Library Board. Discussion continues on the Building Project.

Project Reports.

Patty provided information about the tiles.

Joyce Bilger reported on the crocks. 35 Selinsgrove crocks remain.

(Deb arrived to assume the role of secretary.)

Emily Johnson moved and Pat Hess seconded a motion that Joyce place an order for 400 crocks with the Rolling Green Park design for the 2007 crock sale. The motion was accepted.

Lynn Askew reported on the special Susquehanna Sesquicentennial crock project. The project is designed to dovetail with the University's Sesquicentennial celebration ending in 2008. The prototype would cost $35. That price would include the stamp as well as the prototype.

Emily Johnson moved and Joyce Bilger seconded the motion that Lynn place the order for the prototype at the cost of $35.

We will discuss merchandising of the Sesquicentennial crock at the next meeting.

Membership.
There are currently 84 names on the membership list at present. Members will receive the most recent newsletter.

Book Sale Update.
Joyce presented the updated posters and bookmarks advertising the sale. A work party is scheduled for Saturday from 9-12. April 26 will be the book sale set up. The tear down will be immediately following the conclusion of the sale on April 28.

Future Dates.

July 15               Antiques on the Isle
September  22       Selinsgrove Street Fair
December 1       Tree Fest begins
