2009 Spring Book Sale

We're so happy about the great Friends Book Sale 2009!

We raised $1,950 this year for the benefit of the Snyder County Libraries.  Holding the sale for three days rather than two resulted in our most profitable sale ever.  We were delighted!  The quality of books donated was excellent this year.  As always, our volunteers were wonderful in lending a hand with sorting books, helping out with setup and takedown, and manning the sales table during the sale.  Thanks to Janis Gemberling, who did a great job of coordinating the book sale, and a special thank you to Mary Schmoyer, who spent so many extra hours doing a fantastic job of sorting books.  Leftover books were donated to the Daily Item for their use in their upcoming book sale, proceeds from which will support their Newspapers In Education program.
