Tree Fest of Children's Books
2009 Decorator
Guidelines - refer to
Decorator Brochure
Tree Pickup Method 2 Contact Ruth Lundberg at 374-9184 or email her at Miscellaneous Decorating Information Electric If you're using lights, please bring a heavy duty extension cord; it would be helpful if it was one that had several outlets for plugs – PLEASE MARK IT WITH YOUR NAME so you can retrieve it during Saturday cleanup. Vote Box Don't forget to create and bring a vote box. Some of you who are new to Tree Fest may not be aware of this. Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets to vote for their favorite tree/wreath. You create a vote box which will sit under your tree or wreath. You need a slot or opening in the box at least large enough to accommodate vote tickets (size of a raffle ticket). At 8:00 p.m. Friday 12/18 the boxes are opened and tickets counted. There will be a prize for 1st Place Tree, 2nd Place Tree and Favorite Wreath (See Prizes below). We've found that in some cases we need to cut the box apart to get at the tickets to count them, and that's okay, but please don't construct your vote box so there is no way we can get to the votes inside. Click on the Virtual Tour links below for pictures of various trees/vote boxes. Of course, the more friends and family you encourage to visit Tree Fest, the better your chances to win favorite tree/wreath! Prizes Friends of the Selinsgrove Community Library, sponsors of Tree Fest, will make a donation to the library for the purchase of a children's book for the library's permanent collection (book to be chosen by the library) for each of these three prizes. Each would contain a book plate listing the decorator's name, winner of ... in Tree Fest of Children's Books 2009. If you are a winner, you will be notified by telephone after 8:00 p.m. Friday 12/18. Please provide Liz Heim at 837-1672 or polkadot@eawireless.net with a phone number where you can be reached at that time - a cell or home phone number, since you likely won't be at work! You will also receive an award certificate which will be presented on Saturday 12/19 during cleanup/takedown. Cleanup/Takedown If your tree or wreath is not being auctioned, or if you're not donating your book to the library, it must be removed from All Saints on Saturday, 12/19 between 9:00 a.m. and noon. If Tree Fest provided your tree or wreath and it’s not being auctioned, please come to remove your ornaments. We have NO wiggle room on these times. If you cannot come in then, please make arrangements for someone else to collect your things. Anything not picked up will become the property of Tree Fest. Setup Dates & Times Sunday 11/29 from
